The Rats are a sentient, talking variant of the standard species of rat, Rattus norvegicus. They decide leaders seemingly randomly, but what is known is that the leader becomes massive and makes all of the rules for that rat pack. The rats have also displayed many extraordinary abilities such as driving cars, despite their small size. They're often up to no good stealing or killing innocent people. The rat leader is also known to have psychic powers to fool humans into thinking that he isn't a rat.
The tell tale sign of The Rats is their eerie chant:
Rats: Rats, we're rats, we're the rats. We prey at night, we stalk at night, we're the rats.
Giant Rat: I'm the giant rat that makes all of the rules!
Giant Rat and Rats: Let's see what kind of trouble we can get ourselves into!
In the event that you hear this chant, you should immediately vacate the area and contact the cat police as soon as possible.
They were first featured in the Rat movie: where Dick "Dastardly" Richard, leader of one of the top groups of gem thieves, goes on a dangerous mission to steal the Mayan Treasure. As the trio are about to complete their grand scheme, they are foiled by the evil rats, who are known to prey, stalk, and get in trouble. and secondly seen in The Rats Movie 2
Recently the rats have taken a more modern spin to their chant and recorded a whole rat song album which has such songs as the rats birthday song which goes like:
Rats, rats, we are the rats! Celebrating yet another birthday bash! -insert name-, it's your birthday today! Cake and ice cream is on its way! And -insert name-, you're such a good boy this year! Open up your gifts, while we all cheer!
While sales of this album are unknown, it is quite popular and from that success they made a Rats Movie.
